Might as well quit!

Might as well quit!

Might as well quit!

There’s a better cause right around the corner. It might not work. You’ll never be able to keep all the promises. It can’t last forever. We’re all going to die. It’s not perfect. Someone might steal your idea. There will be critics. You’re not ready. Someone else is going to do it. It’s not that important. It might not work.

On the other hand…

Now is better than later, and perfect is an illusion.

Act as if. Simply begin. Make things better by making better things. You can always improve it later.

Seth Godin | Jan 2022

I adore this advice by Seth Godin.  For many of my clients it is time to act. Time to change. Time to begin again. Time to think differently. Is it time for you to act?

There are so many excuses and/or reasons for not making a change or starting a new endeavor.  Especially today with all our domestic and international challenges; shifting talent pools; remote working; pandemic – I could go on infinitum.

The Question

What’s the biggest roadblock preventing you from making a change or steering a new course in your business?  Often it is how you think (as pointed out above).

Many people have expressed this in many ways, but it comes down to: “We are what we think.”  We can re-frame our focus and our thoughts.

So …….  “Now is better than later, and perfect is an illusion. Act as if. Simply begin.”

All the best to you and your company!
